шum (šum) je prostor za eksperimentiranje s kopijami starih risb iz istoimenske serije, ki igrajo vlogo baze podatkov, potrebne za izdelavo novih slik. Voden skozi intuitivno opredeljeno metodologijo, s kakršnim koli dejanjem nad materialom, rezultat, čeprav nepredvidljiv, ohrani svoje bistvo. Kdaj se jedro slike izgubi? Kaj naredi sliko? шum vzorči neposredno. Je ples reprodukcij, nikoli z močnejšo avro! шum je ljubezensko pismo rastru. шum je na ekranu, na printu, v prostoru, v detajlih, ne v detajlih, ampak vmes. Ponovno odkrit, nikoli izgubljen. Čeprav je zašel, ga je še vedno slišati.

Andrej Julher (1995, Zrenjanin) je diplomiral na oddelku za grafično oblikovanje na Akademiji umetnosti v Novem Sadu. Med študijem je leta 2019 obiskoval poletno akademijo v Salzburgu, leta 2020 pa je odšel na izmenjavo na Fakulteto za likovno umetnost v Sevilli. Večinoma se izraža v mediju risbe in grafike, s katerima raziskuje, beleži, ilustrira, komunicira, pripoveduje. Svoje delo uresničuje v različnih formatih – od stenskih slik do fanzinov. Kot risar ima oblikovalski pristop, kot oblikovalec pa umetniški, in svoje umetniško zatočišče najde prav v prekrivanju teh dveh disciplin. Nagrajen je bil dvakrat – s strani Novosadske akademije in Ilustrofesta. Razstavljal je samostojno in skupinsko, njegove grafike, publikacije in risbe pa krasijo zbirke doma in v tujini. Je član ALUZ, Grafične zadruge, pa tudi zaveznik gozdov.

шum (noise/hum/etc.) is a space for experiments with copies of old drawings from a series with the same name, which play the role of a database necessary for the production of new images. Guided by an intuitively defined methodology, by any action over the material, the outcome, though unpredictable, retains its essence. When is the core of an image lost? What makes a picture? шum samples directly. It is a dance of reproductions, never with stronger auras! шum is a love letter to raster. шum is on the screen, on the print, in the space, in the details, not in the details but in between. Rediscovered, never lost. Although it strayed, it is still heard.
The zine is part of an exhibition/ongoing project with the same name.
Andrej Julher (1995, Zrenjanin) graduated from the Department of Graphic Design at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. During his studies, he attended the Summer Academy in Salzburg in 2019, and in 2020 he went on an exchange to the Faculty of Fine Arts in Seville. He mostly expresses himself through drawing and graphics, with which he researches, records, illustrates, communicates, narrates. He realizes his work in various formats – from wall paintings to fanzines. As a drawer, he has a design-driven approach, and as a designer, he has an artistic approach, and he finds his artistic refuge in the overlap of these two disciplines. He has received two awards, from the Novi Sad Academy and Ilustrofest. He has held solo and group exhibitions, and his graphics, publications and drawings adorn collections at home and abroad. He is a member of ALUZ and Grafična zadruga, and an ally of forests.
