V Galeriji Škuc bo med 28. januarjem in 19. februarjem na ogled samostojna razstava prejemnika nagrade skupine OHO 2019, Tadeja Vaukmana, z naslovom: Vendar ne kažite tega mojemu otroku.
Razstava odraža nadaljevanje avtorjevega značilnega ustvarjanja v mediju fotografije, hkrati pa opozarja, da Vaukman svoj surov in neposreden likovni jezik enakovredno izraža tudi v drugih medijih. Kolažiranje, video in jezikovna znamenja ne predstavljajo odvoda, temveč nadgradnja in razvoj njegove umetniške prakse, ki v svojem bistvu brutalnega pretiravanja in eksplicitnega prikazovanja elementov ostaja ista. Večinsko zastopani motivi iz intimnega življenja in množica avtoportretov nakazujejo na umetnikov obrat vase in raziskovanje lastne identitete. Z izjemo nekaj starejših fotografij je bila glavnina razstavljenih del ustvarjena v zadnjem letu – skupaj zaokrožujejo Vaukmanovo kontinuirano ustvarjanje.

From 28 January to 19 February, the Škuc Gallery will host a solo exhibition by the recipient of the 2019 OHO Group Award, Tadej Vaukman, entitled: But don’t show this to my kid.
The exhibition reflects the continuation of the artist’s signature work in the medium of photography, but at the same time points out that Vaukman expresses his raw and direct visual language in other media as well. Collage, video and linguistic signs do not represent a deviation, but an enhancement and further development of his art practice, which remains the same in its essence of brutal exaggeration and the explicit representation of elements. The most represented motifs from intimate life and the multitude of self-portraits indicate the artist’s turning to his own self and the exploration of his identity. With the exception of a few older photographs, the majority of the works on display were created in the last year – together they round off Vaukman’s ongoing creative process.
